Urmston needs trees.
In all fairness some of these trees are of the plane variety. These are not really suitable as roadside trees on narrow suburban roads. As for the others? They do seem to be disappearing at an alarming rate without anything being planted by way of replacements.

Snow.
Lots and lots of snow here today. It started snowing yesterday evening and hasn’t stopped since. So far a foot of snow has fallen, that’s 30cm in that new metric rubbish.

Redevelopment update.
The one way system is back in place on Crofts Bank road for this week. The road will be closed in both directions this coming Sunday 8th Feb to finish of the resurfacing.

Urmston precinct redevelopment.
It’s been a while since I posted a pic of how the new development is going, so here’s one taken earlier today.
According to the local rag Sainsbury’s will start kitting the place out in March with an opening scheduled for sometime in May. I guess the new library will be on a similar schedule.
