Call me old fashioned but is it not rude to ring someone up, whom you do not personally know, and ask for them by name without first introducing yourself? 
I’ve had two calls today from companies who did the above. In fact it is common practice these days for any non personal calls.
The second one today was taken aback when the I said “I’ll tell you who I am after you tell me who you are.”
