I don’t often see eye to eye with John Prescott but on this issue of our NHS I do.

I notice on the news coverage from the US on this issue that all the people queueing up to have a pop are all white, middle class, well off and misinformed. What about the 40+ million who cannot afford health assurance?
Our NHS provides a safety net for everyone but the individual still has the option to seek private health care if they so wish. Just what is so wrong with wanting to provide free, at the point of service, heath care for those that cannot afford private?
Next time any of these white, middle class,well off and misinformed people are over here on holiday just remember who it is who will look after you if you are taken ill or have an accident. that’s right, the NHS. If you don’t like it then don’t bother coming.
